“On the tenth day of Christmas, Frank Borland gives to you… 10 software failures… costing millions (hopefully not on your watch :-).”

Once again financial institutions feature in this top 10 of 2012 at http://www.testmagazine.co.uk/2012/12/the-highest-profile-software-failures-of-2012 but glitches and bugs can strike any size of development project as we all know. You would be unlucky to lose quite as much as the trading firm which saw $440million disappear in 45 minutes. But no doubt the big money-losing headlines will still be around in 2013 – and the importance of quality testing to safeguard the bottom line and customer relations has never been stronger.

Here is also a link to a superb webinar featuring my friend Archie Roboostof, Borland Portfolio Director, talking about Performance Testing Pitfalls and how 7 seconds cost a company $7 million http://tinyurl.com/d8wlnjf
